Sex Appeal

I have a commitment to my dog. She is the most marvelous, cutest, and compassionate creature I have ever known. I am programmed to walk her twice a day, The other day on our third walk of the day we went on an excursion to the corner park where the tall grasses had grown high enough to shield the traffic from the park’s peacefulness.

While sitting there with my cocker spaniel on her lease, magic happened with the energy radiating from her little heart’s essence. A big black dog three times her size jumped out of its owner’s car window while stopped at the traffic light, ran across the road and into the park, straight to my spaniel’s side.

That’s sex appeal. The big black lab had a leash and was returned to its owners car within minutes. This was raw, animalistic, true-to-life, in its most basic form . . .  sex appeal.

Later the same week I was brave enough to go to a MeetUp group for dancing. Wow, these ladies and gentlemen have taken sex appeal to a place of Higher Love. They were polite, kind and gracious. Nearly every guy danced with every girl as they wished. They were dancers who have studied how to dance. It was a pleasure to watch.

In between these two experiences was my visit to the Apple Store. While waiting in line to talk to one of their tech support crew, a young 20something gentleman struck up a conversation with me. After he understood I am coaching women and men to improve their communications, he lamented that he felt bad about how much frustration women have fixing their hair, makeup and clothing to be just right.

He relaxed with a big smile when I pointed out that the ritual women do is a display of their powers of attraction just as my 25 lb. cocker spaniel got an 80 lb. dog to run to her side so too ladies want gents to do in kind. This is sex appeal.
