Lonely People was a song made popular by the Baby Boomers in the mid-1970s.
Written by Dan and Catherine Peek shortly after their marriage following a long period of getting to know one another. It seemed as if they would never get it together. Inside their marital bliss they wrote . . .

“This is for all the lonely people, thinking that life has passed them by.
Don’t give up until you drink from a silver cup.
And ride that highway in the sky.”

“This is for all the lonely people, thinking that life has passed them by
Don’t give up until you drink from the silver cup
And never take you down or never give you up (She or He will never . . . )
You never know until you try.”

Life seems to be a delicate balance between being tough and being gentle.
I’ve heard it said that men want women who are strong on the inside and soft on the outside. Mama Mia. I also ask why I have to jump through another hoop? Why?
Because when I think of a man as a partner, I realize we are meant to be together.

We fit together, we find that higher love together.
It seems hard work, it seems insurmountable. It’s easier to be alone and self-medicate feelings of defeat. This situation needs encouragement. That’s where I come in. Leave a comment or reach out for a coaching session.

We, as woman are stronger than we think. What’s happened in the past is practice, therapy for the more dynamic love warrior that is at our core. All of our power is in the PRESENT MOMENT, AND THE NEXT MOMENT, and so on. Pablo Coelho wrote about this in his book, A Manual of the Warrior of Light. This book was published in 1997 as a collection of his teachings originally published in various Brazilian newspapers between 1993 and 1996. Here is an excerpt. Substitute yourself for “He” as you read on.

“For the warrior, there is no such thing as impossible love. He does not let himself be intimidated by silence, indifference or rejection. He knows that behind the mask of ice that people wear, there exists a heart of fire. That is why the warrior risks more than others. He seeks tirelessly for someone’s love, even if this means often hearing the word “no,” returning home defeated and feeling rejected in both body and soul. A warrior does not let himself become scared when he seeks what he needs. Without love he is nothing.”
