It won’t help for me to say how beautiful you are.

For the grace of all living things, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! But darling ones, it does no good to tell you unless you stop measuring against a commonly accepted scale of beauty.

Inside those eyes, inside your eyes and the eyes of that person serving coffee, bagging your purchase or passing you in the hall . . . inside those eyes is a soul resting peacefully there. Sadly, most often this is not recognized by anyone but it’s owner.

Real beauty is found when you connect. Only a connection is necessary to find them. Just glance into their eyes every once in a while, as you make small talk. Anything more would be intimidating. You are aiming for a feeling a reassurance. Keep it light as to create an “act of kindness.”

And then, let it go. Set it free as you would a butterfly. The true beauty is your experience. The one that stays with you for the day or the year.
